After Hours Use of the Library
The Wise Law Library’s hours of operation and calendar of closures are available on the web at: http://www.colorado.edu/law/lawlib/calendar.htm.
Faculty who want to use the library outside of regular hours, or on a day when the library is closed, should contact Jane Thompson for assistance at least 48 hours in advance. She will work with the faculty member and the law library’s administrative assistant to obtain personal Buff OneCard-swipe access to the main entrance to the library on the second floor of the Wolf Law Building.
Faculty who use the library after hours are asked to notify Jane Thompson promptly via e-mail of any materials they remove from the library.
Remote Access to Databases and Electronic Resources
Faculty who are working at home or traveling may access many of the library’s electronic resources remotely:
- The Wise Law Library’s catalog, Lawpac, is available to the public at: http://lawpac.colorado.edu. The catalog and home page include links to numerous free Internet resources.
- Subscription databases and other fee-based electronic resources linked from http://lawpac.colorado.edu are accessible to faculty who launch CU VPN (Virtual Private Network) free software on their computers and log on to campus servers with a CU identikey account. CU VPN software must be running in the background prior to accessing any links to law library databases or other subscription resources.

Faculty who register for BNA e-mail alerts must launch CU VPN before clicking on the links in BNA e-mails outside of the Wolf Law Building. If CU VPN runs too slowly from a home or travel computer, please contact Jane Thompson for a direct BNA logon.
